About Us
The Taylor Delk Sickle Cell Foundation is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3)
organization in Brownsville, Tennessee. Tony Delk, an NBA player,
currently with the Atlanta Hawks, founded the Taylor Delk Sickle Cell
Foundation in 2003. The Taylor Delk Sickle Cell Foundation is named
after Tony's daughter who has sickle cell disease. The foundation
is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and families
affected by sickle cell disease.
Tony and his wife Margie have personally
experienced the reality of sickle cell disease. Their daughter, Taylor,
was diagnosed at birth with sickle cell disease. As the parents of
a child with this disease, they realize the importance of support,
awareness, and research in this area. For this reason, Tony created
the Taylor Delk Sickle Cell Foundation to help other children and
families affected by sickle cell disease.
